Like many people on campus, UIAA staffers are smitten with UI President Sally Mason’s creative holiday e-mail greeting. (Check it out here: http://president.uiowa.edu/snowflake )
Staff and students at the IMU Marketing and Design Group came up with the brilliant concept to make a fun seasonal video of Herky making a paper cut-out snowflake. Since it was first sent a few days ago, the video has taken the campus by storm. People are forwarding the e-mail to friends and colleagues, and everyone—from deans to students to pets to Rudolph the Reindeer—is getting in on the snowflake-making act.
Some with more success than others.
Take a look at the picture above. Two of the three exquisite, perfectly formed snowflakes were created by a 12-year-old and a 13-year-old, daughters of UIAA staff members. That abominable snowflake in the bottom left corner? That’s mine.
I guess it proves that snowflakes, like people, are unique.
