Writers Wanted

Register today for the University of Iowa Summer Writing Festival’s 25th annual gathering.  The festival is a short-term noncredit writing program administered through the university’s Division of Continuing Education.  The program offers 140 weeklong and weekend workshops across the genres, including novel, short story, poetry, essay, memoir, humor, playwriting, screenwriting, science fiction, and writing for children.  Fees are $560 per…

Beyond Basketball…

Iowa alumni living in San Antonio recently expanded their traditional February schedule of game watch gatherings. The San Antonio Iowa Club recruited three teams of bowlers who competed last Thursday in the area’s first-ever Big Ten Bowling Tournament.
