During a dual against Minnesota, Iowa wrestler Tom Brands won his match, helping the squad defeat the Golden Gophers and bring its record to 11-1. Busy month ahead for former Hawk Yanda
Continuing the tradition of Iowa football players succeeding in the NFL, Baltimore Ravens offensive guard Marshal Yanda will play in the AFC Championship game this Sunday for a shot at the Super Bowl. He’s also the first Ravens guard ever to be selected for the 2012 Pro Bowl, scheduled for Jan. 29 in Hawaii.
