Across the Ages

Last week, our Lifelong Learning event at Melrose Meadows brought generations together for a special presentation. UI Associate Director of Student Development David Gould, 92MA, paired students with senior citizens to discuss their respective dreams, life lessons, and thoughts on aging. The participants then took the results of their dialogue and recorded two songs, one about the seniors’ reflections on the past and another featuring the students’ goals for the future. After the presentation, over 60 attendees enjoyed live performances of these songs. We hope to see you at a future Lifelong Learning event!
