Iowa wrestler Wes Hand, 01BS, upset Minnesota’s No. 1-ranked Brock Lesnar in their heavyweight match, helping the Hawkeyes defeat the Golden Gophers 20-13. The wrestlers met twice the previous year, and Lesnar dominated both matches–pinning Hand the first time and shutting him out the second. The highly-anticipated rematch featured extra pushing after the whistle, and referees ushering the athletes back to the center of the mat to calm them down.
