1994-1995 - The group was organized in 1994 and the first Big Event took place in April 1995.

Over the years, the UI Dance Marathon has raised a staggering $11,208,460.28 for the fight against pediatric cancer.

Equality on the Mat

Terry Steiner, 93BA, is advocating for female wrestlers as the national women’s coach, the first in USA Wrestling history. Steiner, who was a three-time All-American and NCAA champion at Iowa, learned valuable life lessons through wrestling, and hopes to pass on his knowledge to the squad.

Hawkeye History: May 17, 1977

For the first time since 1952, the tradition of having students walk across the stage as their name was read was reinstated at the spring commencement ceremony, held in the Field House. Previously, students had stood up in their seats with classmates from their college.
