Hawkeye History: June 04, 1983

The University of Iowa had just taken possession of the Mayflower Apartments on Dubuque Street. Originally constructed in 1966 as a private apartment building, Mayflower offered room for over 1,000 students and suite-style living, where a kitchen and bath were shared with an adjoining room.
