Kudos!

Today we learned that Iowa Alumni Magazine has received special recognition in the 2012 Pride of CASE V awards competition. The magazine won a silver award for “Best Alumni Magazine” in its publication category, and Associate Editor Shelbi Thomas received bronze for “Excellence in Feature Writing” for her April 2012 article about national archivist Trudy Huskamp Peterson. You can read “The World’s Memories” here.

These two regional awards from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) bring the UIAA communications group’s Pride of CASE V grand total to 15. In addition, the department has earned some 15 national awards for excellence in writing and design for magazine articles and covers, the association’s website, and various other publications.

Congratulations to the team!
