Our military men and women face tough challenges — especially when they’re on active duty. One Iowa National Guard helicopter unit in Iraq found motivation in an unlikely place.

Nancy Carter, a member of the UI Alumni Association board of directors and the Memphis IOWA Club, shared this video that explains how Bravo Company formed close bonds with a superstar source of inspiration—singer Lionel Richie.
