UI celebrates ‘inspiring’ year for flood recovery

Photos from the flood of 2008 hang in the Pentacrest during a community celebration June 15. Three major arts buildings are opening this year after the original facilities were destroyed by the flood.

Eight years ago this month, the view from atop the Pentacrest was one of devastation.

Star Trek filmmaker on UI: ‘This is the place that shaped me’

2015 Big Ten Championship Game!

Congratulations to our Big Ten West Division Champion Iowa Hawkeyes, coached by Kirk Ferentz! The Hawks, the UI Alumni Association, and the National I-Club will travel to Indianapolis for the Big Ten Championship, where Iowa will face the East Division champion on Saturday, Dec. 5, at Lucas Oil Stadium. Dance Marathon Raises the Bar Again

On Saturday, Feb. 8, Dance Marathon 20 announced that it broke all previous UI records by raising $1,801,032.20 to benefit youth cancer patients and their families. During the 24-hour BIG EVENT, participants raised money by dancing in the IMU to celebrate youth cancer survivors and remember the children who have passed away throughout the year.
