Remembering a Hawkeye Legend

Marquis “Bo” Porter, 94BA, dominated the baseball and football fields at Iowa. As the baseball team’s starting centerfielder in 1993, he hit .318 with 33 RBIs, eight doubles, four home runs, and nine stolen bases. A Tribute to Street

The Iowa men’s basketball team will never forget the legend of Chris Street. On January 19, 1993, an unprecedented wave of sorrow swept across Iowa. Chris Street, a gifted Hawkeye basketball player from Indianola, died that evening when his car collided with a snowplow following a team dinner in north Iowa City.
