Last night, over 30 students and 20 alumni volunteers attended the fourth annual Students Today, Alumni Tomorrow (S.T.A.T.) Mocktail Party here at the Levitt Center. The evening started with a presentation by Margie Peskin, founder of the Search Forward career advising firm. Beat State Week featured a full schedule of events so S.T.A.T. members could get excited for this weekend’s intrastate rivalry between our beloved Hawkeyes and the Iowa State Cyclones. Throughout the past few days, students picked up their Beat State shirts, enjoyed a free lunch served by UIAA staff, and attended a cookout and kickball derby.

Last night, S.T.A.T. Ambassadors held their last event of the year, the Make-A-Wish baseball game. Families from the Make-A-Wish Foundation joined us at the Vine to socialize and enjoy pizza. Congratulations to Leslie Prideaux for winning Outstanding Advisor last night at the Hawkeye Awards. Leslie is an amazing advisor who is very deserving of this award.
