Definition: Being has two relevant personal development connotations. A Being is something that exists, generally referring to a human form of existence, as in human being.
Being is also a state of existence; it is an act of living, as in being jealous, generous, loving, or one of dozens of other possible states of existence.
Example: Jeremy alienated many of his friends by often being a whiner and complainer. When he realized the impact of this state of being, through conscious effort he changed to being positive and supportive.
