Le Mars, Iowa, the Ice Cream Capitol of the World since 1913 when the Blue Bunny dairy brand products were founded hosts a variety of ice cream functions and events each year that are a big part of the towns local flavor. There are a few other activities to experience in Le Mars.

Willow Creek Campgrounds
Tent or RV camping is available at Willow Creek. The RV sites have electricity but no sewer hookup. However, there is a dispenser for fresh water and a dumping station near by. Willow Creek is located right in the city park and has use of the golf course across the street and the park facilities.
The park has a playground and plenty of space for Frisbee or other sports. There is also a fishing pond with picnic tables. The area is family friendly and under the supervision of area park authorities.
