One of the most popular nice restaurants in the Cedar Valley is the Montage. This slightly upscale restaurant is located in downtown Cedar Falls.

Another romantic restaurant located in the Cedar Valley is the Brown Bottle. The Brown Bottle was opened in 1972 by Don and Donna Landau. The Brown Bottle continues to be a family restaurant as their son Jim and his wife Jodi have taken over the family business.
The Brown Bottle is located on 1111 Center Street in Cedar Falls and is open daily from 4pm-10pm.
The menu includes specialty drinks including martinis and a wide selection of wines as well as bottled beers and lemonades.
Appetizers at the Brown Bottle include cheese bread, garlic bread, pizza bread, and cheese ravioli. Typical prices for appetizers are $5.
Pasta is the typical entre at the brown bottle inclding lasagna, vegetarian lasagna, cheese manicotti, garlic chicken, spaghetti, cheese and beef cannelloni and roasted garlic pasta. The pasta typically ranges between $12 and $14.
The Brown Bottle also features a variety of meat and poultry options including prime rib, Florentine chicken, chicken parmesan, chicken marsala and Mediterranean chicken. Poultry and mean dishes typically range from $14-$15 and include your choice of spaghetti, blended vegetables, twice baked potato or wild rice.
Also, all entrees include salad and garlic bread at the brown bottle.
